Marie Quéau studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles where she obtained her master degree in 2009 with her series "Paillasse". Around a creepy and colorful universe, she continues to build pictures using collage, montage and myths, inspired by the Godzilla monster and the Roswell case but also the magic and power of objects. The principle of its work is to build an image between the universal and the particular, abstraction and documents. Her work was featured at the Festival PhotoLevallois, at the Salon de Montrouge, and most recently at the 26 Festival International of Fashion and Photography Hyères and the Filature de Mulhouse. In November 2012, she won The Grand Prix de la Découverte/ nofound Prize, and exhibits her work during Nofound photo fair, the contemporary photography fair in Paris. In 2013, she was in artist- residence at the Chateauroux Fine Arts, and she has exhibited at European Month of Photography Sofia.
