Marie Tomanova (b. 1984 in former Czechoslovakia) is a visual artist living in New York City. Through photography, video and performance, her work focuses on the nature of identity, gender, and displacement.
Her first monograph Young American will be published by Paradigm Publishing in fall 2018.

She curated Youth Explosion: The New Bohemia (2016) and co-curated Baby, I Like It Raw: Post-Eastern Bloc Photography and Video (2017), and MUSE MUSE exhibitions for Czech Center New York. She co-curated The Future Is Female for #SAVEARTSPACE public art installation in New York City (2017).
