Born in France in 1981, Marine Lanier lives and works in Crest and Lyon. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles in 2007. Her work is exhibited widely in France and abroad. She was winner for the Unveil’d Prize (London) 2018, Prix Fotofilmic 2016 (Vancouver), the Prix Arca Swiss 2007 (Genève) and the Prix Photographie Maison Blanche#3.She was shortlisted for the following awards : La Nuit de l’instant (Marseille), Les Boutographies (Montpellier), Descubrimientos, PHoto España, (Madrid), Voies off / Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles, Emergentes DST / Encontros da imagem (Braga), First Book Award / Mack Editions (London). Her universe is situated on the border between the familiar and the exotic, the prosaic and the strange, the clan and adventure. She is represented by Jorg Brockmann Gallery (Geneva).
