Marissa Gable was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1992. She started taking pictures at age 6 and continued throughout elementary school and high school. Marissa then decided she wanted to study photography and attended Keystone College, majoring in visual art. In college, she picked up two more concentrations in printmaking and sculpture. She also began her body of work in home interior photography. Marissa graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Visual Arts. Since graduation, she has had the privilege to showcase her work with many talented artists in several group exhibitions. She had her first of four solo exhibitions in 2016. The main focus of Marissa’s work are home interiors, distorting these photos into her own kaleidoscopic, abstract designs. She uses the same technique for her portrait work, and has also worked on cityscapes.
