Martin Leuze was born in 1977 in Germany.
After high school he learned photography in Stuttgart until 1999. During this time, he developed his versatile interested in abstract structures, geometric patterns and random arrangements of light and shadows, mainly in nature or more real settings.
During a phase of extensive traveling through several megacities in the early noughties, he shifted his observation to the architectural substance of megacities. Through these experiences, he eventually developed his passion and fascination of urban architecture and geometrical patterns.
This accumulated eventually in his ongoing long term project „abstract cityscapes“, in which the artist explores the spectrum of visual and emotional perception of contemporary architecture and the borders between reality and artificiality in photography.
Since 2005, Martin Leuze is based in Berlin-Neukölln. His works were shown nationally and internationally in several solo and group exhibitions.
