Martina Zanin (b.1994) is an artist and photographer born in San Daniele del Friuli, and based between Rome and Madrid. She graduated from IED Madrid in Master of Contemporary Photography. Her previous education has included ISFCI (Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication) and she won the scholarship to attend a workshop with Phillip Toledano in New York.
Her work is focused on memory and connections and how the latter affects our daily life; the events that marked our past and have an impact on our present.
Family belongs to this world of memory, and she depicts her background bringing directly herself and relatives into the works, creating images accessible and comprehensible also to individuals not closely related.
She has been part of different collective exhibitions and winner of some awards, such: IPOTY's discovery of the year 2017, 2nd and 3rd places in Moscow Foto Awards, nominee in Photogrvphy Grant, in Portfolio Italia and in Fine Art Photography Awards 2017. She has been shortlisted for Lucie Foundation Emerging Scholarship 2017 and Lucie Foundation Fine Art Scholarship 2018.
