In addition to many art education, the visual artist Martti Matilainen has also studied at the Finnish Academy of Arts in 1969-73. He uses his extensive education and especially his versatile and colorful life experience in dreamy works whose main theme is often human. Matilainen’s photo collages are versatile and describe life in general, in a city, in a countryside or anywhere. In recent years, he has had a lot of private exhibitions in various parts of Finland and has participated in numerous collective exhibitions at home and abroad. Matilainen’s photographic works have been awarded in several photo exhibitions and competitions. His Helsinki themed photo series "Mun Stadi" was nominated for Fotofinlandia 2016.
