Mathieu Acker is native from Alsace, France. Trained as an industrial engineer, he obtained his MBA in Sweden in 2005. Working for one of the major construction company, he travelled to more than 50 countries. He co-started his photography studio in Kansas City in 2015 and learned from the New York Institute of Photography. His work has been selected in various competitions including international recognition (2nd place in the TIFA award 2019).
• Mathieu shots mainly with Canon and sees his photography as an unique tool to study culture and share remote discoveries. The latest anthropological project took a year to be presented to the public through extensive travels in Quebec, USA and Brazil from North to South.
• His interest is in describing normal people in extra-ordinary environment to tell a story. He has been involved in various events including street fashion shows, museums celebration, concerts, artists interviews and exploration in the interior of Brazil.
