I shoot with film and a number of old cameras that I have collected over the years. I've never formally trained as an artist or photographer, but fell in love with film photography through my father's love for it.
I document whatever I see fit and always carry a camera. I try and take photographs of things that move me, that I think carry an emotion or mood, and hope that I can convey this in an image. I've recently begun to take more photographs which feature the body. I am working on an ongoing series of colour photographs concentrating on the relationship between the body and urban architecture, individuals and the city.
I have a PhD in anthropology and inspired by the work of numerous ethnographic film makers and visual anthropologists.
