About Matthew Fitzpatrick

My first recollection of object envy was Pentax SLR owned by my mother sometime in the early 80s. It would take me another decade (nearly 2) before I would own my own, but it was love at first sight.
After school, I studied art, learn photography and fell in love with storytelling through documentary imagery,
Today I predominantly shoot weddings (I love working with people) but am conscious to try and stay away from becoming too comfortable. While avoiding fads, I do look to keep my style progressing and improving as much as possible
Away from the complexity and equipment for weddings, I feed street photography to be cathartic. I love manual cameras where everything can (and frequently does )go wrong, but when it goes right you had input in very decisions made.
