I was born in Golbasi, Adiyaman, south-east part of Turkey in 1976.
I completed business management at Marmara University between 1994 and 1998.
My interest in photography began during faculty years in Istanbul. I worked as an accountant for a while and then left for the USA to work as a photographer on cruise ships in 2003. Working on cruise ships gave me the opportunity to travel all around the world. I’ve already been to nearly 50 countries.
I am planning long trips every year for photographic projects.
I am aware of there’s only one world and we have to find a way to live together in peace and respect. This is the reason that all my work is shaped around the thought of “One World”.
I’ve been visiting Paris periodically since 2009 and making a photographic portfolio about city, also photographing Alevi culture in Anatolia since 2010. Lately, I've visited Iceland twice. Maybe because I am from hot, overpopulated and diverse part of the world, I am in search of sense of isolation, peace and loneliness.
My every day subject is Adana, the city where I live.
I am married and we have one daughter.
