About Melissa Robertson

I am a macro photographer. I have enjoyed taking pictures my whole life. In the Spring of 2018, I captured a photo of a snowflake that looked like a flower. I was hooked on macro from that moment.
The 2018-2019 snow season was a very good year to become a snowflake photographer in Colorado. I have spent a lot of time capturing the beauty and tiny detailed designs of the smallest flakes that land within my yard, trees, deck, and space around. My desire is to share the beauty of this piece of nature with the world. I think, although snow in the form of landscape is popular and beautiful, snow in the form of flakes is rare.
My photographs have inspired me to write stories that are illustrated by the secret designs written within each flake. My first snowflake photography storybook was released in the Fall of 2019. I have taken thousands of pictures for the coming book series.
