Photography is a first love and second career for me. I spent my first career traveling the globe working on international development projects for the Peace Corps and other international organizations. Having worked on long-term assignments abroad, I developed a keen eye for the cultures and peoples where I worked. My one regret is that I never had the time or proper photographic equipment to record some of those early images and experiences on film.
My second career as a photographer began with intensive studies of black and white and alternative photographic processes at the Maine Media College, where I received a Professional Certificate in 2004. I have also studied under a number of well-known contemporary photographers in the United States and in Europe. I am now a practicing photographer living in Nice, France and I have expanded my photographic repertoire to include fine art, documentary photography and alternative processes.
