I started in photojournalism when I was 16, shooting sports for a local daily newspaper in upstate NY. I earned a BFA in Photography and Design from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and have worked in various aspects of photography my entire career, from managing photo studios and pro color labs, to being a staff technical correspondent for Nikon, to shooting for magazines, books and CD and DVD covers in the music industry. Always looking to expand my photographic horizons and techniques, I also teach Lightroom and Photoshop and wrote a book on Adobe Lightroom a few years ago.
