Michelle Bastos is a Brazilian artist who works with photography, visual arts and performance. She has a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Political Science and a Master in Portrait and Identity by Speos Paris Photographic Institute and a Master in Fine Art Photography, as well as technical training in drawing and photography.
She had groups exhibitions in Brasilia (North Babylon, Female Universe, Process Lab Creative Nave, Among so many beauties, all of them between 2012 and 2016), Madrid (Whitewall - PhotoEspaña 2014), Granada (Fotoziti - Insula Sur 2015), La Palma Gran Canaria (Too Much is not enouth - La Shop 2016), Alicante (Alicante Photo 2016 and Helie Memorial 2015), Lisbon (Fair photobook Brazilian 2015) and Paris (Photowall 2012).
Among her publications there is a photobook and biography of the actress Dulcina Moraes, published by LGE Editors in 2007.
In 2015 she was a finalist of the Helie Memorial Award and won the international exchange grant of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture in 2012.
Her work is in major public and private collections in Brazil (Contemporary Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro and Joaquim Paiva Collection) and Portugal (Lisbon Municipal Photographic Archive).
She made artistic residencies with Antoine D'ágata and Enn, both in 2016.
