Michelle Halsall is a British-New Zealander photographer based in Bali, Indonesia. Introduced to photography at school through manual cameras and darkrooms, she now shoots exclusively on an iPhone — finding her images in the spaces between daily life, in moments stolen between work and family, in the ordinary made suddenly extraordinary. Her work is drawn to layers, shadows and illusion — the things that aren’t quite what they first appear to be.
