About Miguel CHARLES

I was born and raised in Martinique, a French island located in the Caribbean and have been currently living in Paris for one year now.

I was attracted to photography when I was really young, actually I used to steal my mother’s agfamatic from her drawer, snap a photograph and put it back.

I always say that my sight is what I would like to keep because I love seeing things, and I guess photography might be the only way I’ve found to show what I see with my bare eyes but also with my mind.

These must be the reasons why in 2010 while finishing a master’s degree in Languages Art and Communication, I decided, with a bunch friends, to create a collective of creatives to learn faster, share gears to improve our skills and create the images we wish to see on advertisements, or magazines in the Caribbean.

Ever since I have been working with other fashion photographers, retouchers, and stylists to improve photography in our islands and offer our cultural background to European companies.
