I am a self taught photographer, through borrowing my fathers camera as a teenager a few years ago to enter a photography competition. My dedication lies in analogue photography and have learn to develop my own negatives at home. Wanting to educate and make people think as a result of my photographs. Current themes: Natural world, Photo documentary, Human rights.
Since then I have acquired my own camera and made the most of this opportunity to capture things that I enjoy, often with a bold and graphic eye, from macros and portraits to cityscapes. I like to capture things that make people think, either questioning the photograph and its subject or an underlying broader idea in life. If I can make them smile whilst doing so that's a plus.
My aim is to capture to educate, communicate, inspire, help, question and enlighten.
My new found love is B/W film, the medium to which I have moved to a majority of my recent work. Working with my trusty fully manual camera. Often developing my own film using recently gained knowledge.
