My name is Mina Jazayeri, a 32 years old woman from Iran. In the hope of pursuing my life purposes and studies more independently, I left Iran, when I was 18 years old. I lived abroad for 11 years, graduated in Product Design from Curtin University and worked in media, art and design industry for 10 years. My interest in visual art and storytelling together with an urge to be more engaged with the society and the people who culturally shaped my personality made me decide to come back to Iran. I planned to discover the Middle East and its diverse cultures through travel, collecting narratives, and taking photos. Photography for me is a tool to get close to people, listen to their narratives, and to have an opportunity to observe and capture their moments.
