Born in Mexico City, I began to dedicate my love for photography from a very young age. After witnessing the devastating 1985 earthquake that killed thousands of people. I remember walking in the middle of the destroyed city and I experienced a deep urge to photograph and document both the disaster and the human resilience that my eyes had seen, this experience framed my life and my artistic work. At the time, I wished I had a camera that would allow me to capture those moments, but that was a luxury that my widowed mother couldn't afford to buy me. So I started storing thousands of images in the vault of my memory. Since then, I have dedicated myself to visual documentation with a photojournalistic approach.
