I am a former critical care and hospice physician. My professional life was very rewarding, but most of my patients were deteriorating and dying. It was all consuming, and I had not learned how to appreciate nature.
In my photographic practice, I investigate the tension between man and nature, celebrate natural and manmade beauty, and creatively highlight people, animals, cultures and places from my travels around the world. It is my hope that my images stir curiosity and an appreciation of the new or a new appreciation of the old.
