I was 15 years old when I bought my first compact-camera I found happiness in shooting random people in the streets and listening to their stories. It helped me explore and learn more about myself. After a while, my focus went further to exhibitions and photo-awards. However, shortly I realized that the real-award is my own work and what my eye sees through my viewfinder.
When I turned 19 I wanted to enrich my vision. I started studying classical photography schools to learn and benefit from their legacy. Beside my colour images, I love B&W in which I feel and see the essence of the image, raw feelings away if any distraction.
People are always my inspiration the more I listen, the more I learn about different beliefs and identities. To me, social justice means fighting for the rights and freedoms of all people, not just your own, and I believe the images can amplify the voice of innocent people against the oppressors and implementers of injustice.
Now I am 21yo, I shoot more photoessays representing our culture In Egypt and our social issues.
The matter simply started “He loves photography" And when he walks and takes photos he’s in his virtual world, a world that he draws with his mind, sense it with his heart and see it with his own eyes.
His international personality start was in PSA Youth Showcase, he got two Accepted images and Exhibited in The Photographic Society of America Conference held in Portland, Maine in the United States.
This is only was the beginning of Mohamed’s road, in the last two years he accomplished more than 15 International awards under organization like , PSA, RPS, National Geographic, NIKON and SONY.
He started his own Future Foundation called “Photography Help’s” in 2015, the NGO foundation vision was about “A lot of inspiring people are around us; they breath passion, they move with determination and well which turns the suffering to incentive and Put their dreams towards their eyes to inspire us and shine our way to help us run to our dreams, and to wipe the dust away of us and light up the passion that is inside us. The foundation help through photography, in Here there will be live models from the street and inspiring people suffering in their life to reach the top, it show that to people to give them hope.
In 2015 Mohamed got the first place in Photo Journalism Category in PSA Youth showcase, The Director Kathy Braun, FPSA, PPSA, wrote about his history through 3 years of participation and recognized him The most young chap from Egypt has garnered more acceptances and awards in the digital section than any other student involved in the program.
At the end of 2015 The world wide “ IAAN PARRY scholarship “ Contacted Mohamed by Deputy director Mrs. Rebecca McClelland to Exhibit on of his photographs on the 10th December at the Hoxton Gallery on Old St, London.
In 25 January 2016, Mohamed Found a new and first Collective Documentary project in Egypt in Instagram Called “ Kemet Spirit – روح مصر " with four documentary photographers$and it’s about “A group of Egyptian documentary photographers, we document what is not seen through photos taken by mobile phones or cameras, as Egypt is full of good opposites and bad ones.Our aim is to capture the decisive moment with a story telling in order to show and search for Egypt spirit, and to show our vision.
