I grew up and studied art an culture in Tunisia before moving to Japan to complete an MA specialising in photography at the Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics and Arts in 2002. Japan has been crucial in my artistic practice as it was there that i developed a very personal approach to my work. Currently I'am is living and working between Paris and Tunis. In 2017, I participated in the inaugural exhibition of the Zeitz Mocca Museum in Cape Town with a solo show OFF-THE AIR at the Roger Ballen Foundation Center of Photography. My work has been shown at the Biennial of Dak'Art 2016 and The Photographic encounters of Bamako in 2007 and 2011. Also my works have been presented at the Smithonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, the MMK in Frankfurt, the MAXXI in Rome and Quai Branly Museum in Paris.
