Myriam Cohenca (b. 1992) is a visual artist, photographer and writer whose practice is grounded in the histories of the Levant and pre-1948 Palestine. Working across photography, video, text, installation, and mixed media, she explores exile, identity, inheritance, memory, political erasure and radical love.
Rooted in fieldwork, site-specific encounters, and long-term research, her work begins from a fractured family history shaped by displacement, interrupted transmission, and Zionist rewriting. Through ritual gestures, personal archives and Mediterranean geographies she approaches art as a living archive: a way to hold what has been denied, displaced or made illegible.
Her recent works include Kaddish, No Shore, Shetah Esh, Finding Alquds, Dukka, Common Ground, and Nos Levants. She has exhibited in Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Morocco, and the UK. Her work has been featured in The Markaz Review and BROAD Magazine, and one of her texts was included in The Markaz Review anthology published in 2025.
