Negar Pooya is a multidisciplinary visual artist born in Iran. Living and working in Toronto, graduated in 1994 with honors, received a full scholarship to complete her Masters of Art degree in 1995. Completed MFA with honors in 1997.
Over the past few years, she focused on themes addressing humanity, the environment, and nature.
Photography for Negar is a medium for creative expression to capture more than a photo, something behind the image. Light, emotion, and her background as a painter play a massive role in her photography.
