From Dublin, Ireland, Niamh Smith is a visual
artist who completed her MFA in Photography
from the University of Ulster, Belfast, 2019.
A central focus of Smith's work is concerned
with the storytelling of the unheralded moments
of the everyday. Her work conceptualises
photography as an act of prayer which reflects
on multiple situations concerned with National
Identity, Nationhood and Place Making.
Working with photography in a creative sense,
she performs and constructs atmospheres to
create an expressive, intimate language that
communicates to different narratives within
her practice.
