Nicholas Winter, born 1973 in the British military hospital in Celle, Germany. Up to the age of 18 lived in England, Germany and for 4 years in Zürich, Switzerland. At 18 returned to the UK to study at the Kent Institute of Art & Design in Canterbury, England (1991-1993) followed by a 2 year Higher National Diploma course in photography, Bournemouth & Poole College of Art (1993-1995). 1996, moved back to Zürich and worked as an assistant to various commercial photographers. Moved to Helsinki, Finland in 1998 for 2 years, assisting in the fields of fashion and advertising. Return to Zürich in 2000. Two years assisting and working on his own various commercial shoots, (Credit Suisse, ICS Zürich, theatre productions & bands).
