A South African, who graduated with an LLB and BCom(Finance) from a New Zealand university, is currently working at Amnesty International in Mexico City after spending 6 years in Hong Kong.
The greatest gift ever given to me was at my graduation; my camera. A solo traveler by preference, my lens has not only opened the world for me, but allowed me to give a voice to other people's stories lesser told.
In my quest to see, rather than look, I have been lucky enough to work with a sports for development charity in Mumbai, walked alongside a climate change survivor in the Philippines, helped at the only school for the deaf in Togo and explored the nuanced world of LGBT activism in Fiji.
I have also had the privilege of being part of disaster response missions to Ecuador and Indonesia, following two devastating earthquakes. These particular experiences are very close to my heart, as it was the paradox of excruciating vulnerability and unparalleled strength that truly exposed to me the scope of human potential.
