I use photography as a means to deal with questions I encounter, both visually and conceptually. Through photography, I study, abstract and interact with my surroundings in experimental ways. Working with material and being part of the whole process are very important to me, which is why I choose to work analogue.
I am the Artistic Director and founding member of Kalamari Klub, an international artists' collective for the celebration of analogue photography. Since 2016, we have been promoting and supporting local and international artists and photographers through festivals, exhibitions and a residency programme in our community darkroom in Heidelberg, Germany.
