About Nicolás Gustavo Ramos

I was born on February 18, 1988, in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a photographer, a graduate of the Comprehensive Photography Course at Technical School No. 31 "Maestro Quinquela" in La Boca, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Previously, I trained as a Professional Actor at EMAD (School of Dramatic Arts), as an Electronics Technician at the San Bonifacio Technological Institute in Lomas de Zamora, and as a National Physical Education Teacher specializing in Disability and Rehabilitation at the Teacher and Technical Training Institute No. 18.

I worked as a Professional Photographer for Royal Caribbean International.

Since 2021, I have run EDW Scouting, my own studio dedicated to scouting, directing actors, full-service casting production, coverage of social events, booking models and actors, and street photography and photojournalism. I have worked for various nationally and internationally recognized brands and organizations.

Since June 2023, I have worked as the official cameraman and photographer for VXLA TV (Vivo por Los Andes TV), covering the broadcast of Club Atlético Los Andes' home games. I also work as a photojournalist for the Redacción News Agency.

My photographic project, "Callejerxs" (Street People), a street chronicle of street workers during the pandemic, was exhibited at the Quinquela Martín Photo Gallery in 2022 and, in October 2023, at the Meridiano Cero Photo Gallery of the Teatro Italiano in Chacabuco. This work seeks, through portraiture, to give a face and a story to professions that are usually invisible.

Among my other distinctions are my selection for the 13th Annual National Salon Exhibition at the Mercedes Municipal Art Museum (2022); and my inclusion in the Top 60 best photographers of Buenos Aires in the second stage of the 35Awards 2021. Special Mention for the logo design of the Luis Ordaz Institute of Argentine and Latin American Art History (IHAAL, 2021); and first place in the National Competition of Performing Arts in Virtual Environments, organized by the National Theater Institute and the Ministry of Culture of the Nation (2020). In 2023, I was selected in the 24th "People of My City" Competition, organized by Banco Ciudad, to exhibit at the Photo Gallery of the General San Martín Cultural Center, and in 2024, I was a finalist in the "Our Senior Citizens, Portraits of Wisdom that Capture Experiences and Inspire Our Future" Competition, organized by the College of Notaries of the Province of Buenos Aires, with an exhibition in the city of La Plata.

I live between curiosity and the street, convinced that photography, like theater, is a tool for social transformation.
