Nik Lee is an 18-year-old art student in Australia who emigrated from Taiwan. He has been involved in the life cycle of picture making since his early memories.
Photography, for him, is a tool to escape from the mundane cycle of living. His works focus on the displaced narratives of his life experiences. He says, "I treat my photographs as a letter to myself, a response to myself and many other selfish documentations of myself."
Nik Lee composes multiple photographs to establish visual paths that form displaced narratives, questions, juxtapositions and more lies. The algebraic numbering on the images is a forceful and assertive element that emphasizes an individual perspective that may or may not have meaning.
