She was born in 1988 in the forests of the South-West of France to Dutch parents.
She moved to London at 17 and started assisting 2 young female portrait photographers straight away (Jo Metson Scott & Linda Brownlee). 'She fell into it' as she likes to put it. She then went on to assist many more photographers, travelling the world with them, all the while building a autobiographical portfolio of people she met on the way, landscapes and self portraits.
Through documenting her life and that of her friends, she explores the themes of intimacy, sexuality and identity.
Photography for her has become a way to overcome her shyness and the discomfort she felt about her image and sense of self, and to question the female gaze and identity in our image-driven universe.
Her portrayal of girlhood is raw and honest, and leaves you yearning for answers.
