Nozomu Okabe was born in 1973, raised in Osaka, Japan.
Now he is a husband, a father of 2 daughters.
He started photography in his childhood.
His brother taught him some techniques of shooting, developing, and printing. He took photos of his family.
Time went by, and in 1997, He started working in documentary filming company. He was involved in making video programs mainly on ethnology and anthropology.
His interest towards photography had shifted to documentary filming and other things.
In 2009, his wife Chika got pregnant, and he started photography again.
He and his wife started a weblog "Portraits of a Family".
When he look back at their blog, he himself thinks "It is amazing how much we had recorded our daily life. Precious days." However, there are lots of photos, which are not shown in the blog.
Now, Nozomu and Chika Okabe are making some projects from all the photos they took.
