In the last few years, my work has been drawing from abstraction, from the distortion of reality. I have effectively used perspectives and dream scenarios, to create fictional stories that provide an alternative perspective of the daily reality.
I try to portray the relationship of the person with their physical space, seeking to discover how the territory influences our construction of imaginaries.
In that sense, my photographs are very linked to localities, but have no recognizable physical location of origin. Thus, even while I am looking to emphasize the particular experience of the inhabitant of a Latin American metropolis, this could well be a similar experience to those of many inhabitants like me, living in massive metropolis around the world, like Lima, Peru, where I am currently based.
2017-2018 Master in Latin American photography in the Center of the Image, Lima, Perú
