About Omid Shirazi

I’m a visual artist currently based in Paris, working primarily with photography, alongside video and objects.

My work often focuses on quiet, overlooked moments, ordinary objects, and subtle traces of human presence. Through light, flash, and color, I explore how these small, everyday scenes can carry emotional weight.

My images are mostly non-narrative and placeless: calm on the surface, yet often holding traces of tension, memory, or unease beneath. I’m interested in images that ask the viewer to slow down, look closely, and sit with what is not immediately visible.

For me, photography is a way of paying attention, to what is usually ignored, fragile, or easy to miss.
