About Onur Ercoşkun
He was born in Istanbul, 1980.
After finishing primary, elementry and high school in different cities; he has finished Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Photography department in 2006. His academical education speacility is black/white photo and documentary photography. He gave educator in different foundations and courses, giving workshops.
Since his studentship years, he had made lots of projects, productions to written and visual media. He made lots of exhibitions and won prices.
He had personal exhibitions and took part in many karma exhibits.
While doing his photography workings, he continue to his production works.
Since 2012, he has featured in many national and international exhibitions with his last personal exhibition “The World In My Pocket”, revealed by hitting the road with claim of brand or feature of camera are not important for taking photograph.
He took his own place at behind the scene of THE MOVIE, a long film as a very special project in 2010. This film, he was director of photography, is a first in the terms of filming technique. The shots of THE MOVIE took with a DSLR camere and won high praises in the terms of cinematography.
The first release of THE MOVIE was in 30. Istanbul Film Festival. It captured “BEST MOVIE” in 8.Underground Film Festival USA, 2011 and “BEST IMPROVISED FILM” in Improvised Film Festival Australia, 2012.
In 2013 he participated in AESTHETICS OF RESISTANCE Voluntary Exhibition.
He qualified to join to Canon and Magnum First Impressions Portfolio Review to meet and show his portfolio to Alice Garbiner, Time’s International Photo Editor at Visa Pour L’image in Perpignan, France in last year.
After this review he qualified to be in EMOP's Wien stop Eyes ON. Thanks to this reviews; now he is preparing for 3 different exhibition 3 for Photo Visa Festival in Russia and 1 for Organ Vida in Croatia.
He has been still continuing to produce his projects and preparing to his last film.
