Of French-American descent, Paul Grandsard worked as a translator before directing six short films, some of which have been widely distributed. A regular attendee at the Cinémathèque française, where he has watched over 1000 movies, Paul became a programmer for the film festival in Angers (France), before joining the Cannes film festival selection team. At the same time, he developed a keen interest in photography, focusing on portraiture and working on personal projects.
