Paulo Mittelman, born in 1952, is a clinical psychologist and photographer, having started photographing at age 16. He had already set up a small home laboratory at 17. He joined the Brazilian Association of Photographic Art (ABAF) in August 2007, having conquered the "Photo of the Year" modality Color and "Photo of the Year" PB modality in 2008 and 2013 and 2015.
Member of Fotoclube RioFotográfico.
Participated in Foto Rio (International Photography Meeting of Rio de Janeiro) in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
He accepted his photos at the XV, XVII and XVIII Brazilian Biennials of Color Photographic Art in 2007, 2011 and 2013. At the II National Photography Exhibition of Ribeirao Preto, at the V National Photography Show of Araraquara (2013), at the XXV and XXVIII Biennial of Brazilian Photographic Art in PB in 2008 and 2014, at the 45th, 46th, 47th, 49th, 50th and 51st Jauense International Exhibition of Photographic Art in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013, 2014 and 2015.
In 2014, besides being accepted, he received an honorable mention at the 50th edition of the same Jauense Hall and Honorable Mention at the 1st National Salon of the Brazilian Association of Photographic Art (ABAF) in 2013.
2012- Performed an individual exhibition in the Cultural Space of the Central Bank of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, with the title "Almost Real ..." curated by Georges Racz (member of the International Association of Art Critics).
2013- This same exhibition went to the Fluminense Photography Society.
2014- Held the exhibition "In Torno da Lapa" at the Gohan-Barracão Exhibition Space, in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro.
2015- Participated in the 5th Tiradentes-MG Photography Festival, at the "Mostra Retrato".
2015- Participated in JFoto de Juiz de Fora- MG, as guest of the same "Portrait Show" already presented at the Tiradentes Festival.
He was the winner of the "Le Plus Grand Concours Photo Du Monde", of the French magazine Photo, in 2010 in the Ecological Attitude category (with the winning photo "Resistance" published in full page in issue 476, Jan / Feb 2011). He was a finalist in the same contest in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013.
In 2013, she was among the 10 finalists in the "Open Category Competition of the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards", in the Smile category, with the photograph "Dona Maria Fazendo Arte". In 2013, she was selected by the World Photography Organization to represent Brazil with His photos in the campaign "Sony mobile project: Facebook 'Best of' Gallery" launch of Sony Xperia Z1.
In 2014 he won the Merit of Excellence (2nd place) and an Honorable Mention at the 9th Black and White Spider Awards 2014 in the Portrait amateur category competing with photographers from 154 countries.
In 2015 he was one of the photographers chosen in the Latin America Photography and Illustration Contest 4 with the photo "Warrior at Carnival".
