I began my professional photographic career over 30 years ago in journalism. I went on my own, leaving newspapers, and began a lucrative and growing freelance editorial career. Then, after a decade, my life changed and my path went in the direction of social service, working with teens and parents in an impoverish city near my home. Twenty years later I find myself back in professional photography, restarting my career from scratch, loving it more than ever! I love photography for the way it communicates, for the message I can convey through a single image or a collaboration of multiple photographs and words. Telling people's story, what drives them, what grieves them, is a powerful driving force for me.
