Is a photographer. His work suggests he is the kind of artist who lives for photography. His photographs are an extract of self-reflection in an intimate diary of his personal life. Image poeticism has become his main research tool. In his later works, the artist tries to capture man’s spirit through the concept of visualising the identity of an individual or a group. His artworks incorporate many autobiographic features. However, he also does documentary and journalistic photography. He often socialises objective reality and covers Slovak DIY culture. In 2019, he defended his dissertation thesis entitled Portrait as a sociological communication under supervision of photographer Jozef Sedlák. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Art Communication, Faculty of Mass Media Communication, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. In research he mainly addresses various aspects of photographic portraiture. He is very active in third sector – he co-founded a community and art centre “Kubik nápadov” and a public space gallery – the Shop Window Gallery. Since 2012, he has held several solo exhibitions. He is also open to conceptual and intermedia overlaps. In 2020, he became a member of Association of Slovak Professional Photographers and The Slovak Union of Visual Arts. Currently, he engages mainly in educational and editorial activities and in alternative photographic process.
