Petri Juntunen (b. 1975, Sweden) is a Finnish photographer, currently living and working in Helsinki. In his works and projects, Juntunen studies the topics of memory, existence and social constructs, often using novel methods of imaging and representation including 3D scanning,photogrammetry, laser engravings and projections.
He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions in Europe and Finland, the latest solo exhibition being at Jyväskylä Art Museum Ratamo and his works appear in several private and museum collections. Apart from acting as a visual artist, Juntunen has worked as a photojournalist for the last 20 years, working for all the major Finnish publications.
His first monograph "At The Heart Of It All" was recently published by the renowned German publisher Hatje Cantz.
Juntunen have previously studied in TaiK Photography and Cinematography, and is currently finalising his MA studies in Photography at Aalto University, Helsinki.
