YIM Chang Joon is a Seoul-based photographer whose work explores life, human existence, transformation, and eternity. Drawing on nature and lived experience, he uses stones, trees, water, stars, wounded apples, and the pilgrimage of Saint Francis as metaphors for the human condition. His interconnected projects unfold through the themes of Creation, Being, Becoming, and Transcendence, seeking to reveal invisible relationships between nature, memory, spirituality, and the human soul.
He completed the Photography Academy certificate program at Chung-Ang University from 2016 to 2019. His solo exhibitions include Moments of Wonder, Questions Born of a Pause (2026), Portraits of Eternity and Where We Are (2025), Creation and Extinction and Variation and White Sublimation (2024), Nothing Permanent, but… (2023), Silence and Purity (2022), The Place of Origin (2021), From Emotion to Spirituality (2020), and Kairos of the Stigmata (2019).
In 2021, he participated in the 19th DongGang International Photo Festival as an invited artist. He received the Silver Prize at the KPHOTO WAVE International Photo Contest in 2026. His publications include Portraits of Eternal Antiquity, K-Dolmens Every Korean Should Know, From Emotion to Spirituality, and La Verna. He is the founder and director of MooniiSpace Gallery in Seoul.
