Poppy van Oorde-Grainger is an artist, photographer and filmmaker from Western Australia. She has made work for Nickelodeon, Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Perth International Arts Festival, London International Festival of Theatre, DADAA Inc, AWESOME Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art Chengdu in China and Macrobert in Scotland. She specialises in collaborating with communities to use materials and experiences from their lives to create contemporary artworks.
Poppy has completed a BA Fine Arts from Curtin University, a BA Creative Industries from WA Screen Academy and a Graduate Diploma Primary Education from Edith Cowan University. From 2008-2013 she was Community Arts Manager for YMCA Perth were she established YMCA Open Arts. She won the Fremantle Print Award in 2002 and the Australia Council Kirk Robson Award for young leaders in Community Cultural Development in 2010.
