a summer's tale
A summer spent with "Simmentaler" milk cows high up in the Swiss mountains in the Jungfrau-Region.
It all starts with getting the animals into a cattle truck and driving them to Lauterbrunnen. And then walking them up the steep slopes to their pastures where they will be grazing for a few months. In September their stay comes to an end and this is celebrated with the "Alpabzug" which draws a bit of a crowd of both locals and tourists in Wengen.
