Hassidic Weddings in Brooklyn and Monsey, NY.
These portraits illustrate the brief moment when the bride, after having her face covered by her future husband is led to the hupa, dais, when the wedding ceremony is conducted. She will spend the whole ceremony with the covering, it will be lifted by her husband when the marriage is done.

Some brides are clam, some are nervous, often the emotions comes through, by the way she sits, or walks, and by her hands.
