Alle Radici della Maestria
Project info

Down the centuries artists have used Carrara Marble for their works. They went straight to the quarry to choose the marble and they processed it with their own hands. An example is Michelangelo Buonarroti.

In the last few years much has changed, machines have replaced handwork. A good part of marble is used for commercial purposes by the global furniture industries, changing his historical assumptions and the purpose of use of this historical material.

The intent of my project is to show that the ancient craftsmen have not completely disappeared and that their works can still celebrate existential values in its eternity.
