Lamon uses her perception as a metaphor to capture personal and conflicting feelings. Photography as a catharsis in the search for peace, the translation of the deepest fears and desires. During the lockdown, Lamon photographed herself and her children in a homely atmosphere. Also during the lockdown, the act of photography helped Lamon in the search for a moment of stillness. A stillness in which there is sometimes peace, sometimes hope is cherished, but in which there is just as much pent-up grief or a cry. Contradictions are often present in Hanne Lamon's work.
