Before the night comes
"If we opened people up, we’d find landscapes." Agnes Varda
This is why I like to find that perfect spot, not too close and not too far from where I can observe and discover the landscape in people.
During my last trip to the United States, I explored the coasts of Oregon from south to north in search of a solitude that European landscapes can hardly offer.
Wandering for hours along the endless beaches, almost always with only seagulls to keep me company, I tried to imagine what the world must have been like before the domination of man.
The small collection of images aim to tell the sensations and emotions felt during these explorations.
Where the mountains and the ocean melt under a leaden sky, I let nature be a witness to my soul. I mirrored myself in the wilderness of Oregon to rediscover the essence of primordiality.
