A Thousand Years
Faxi Temple, located in Hangzhou, China, was built over a thousand years ago. It is not the most famous Buddhist temple, yet to me it is more calming. Temples are always attractive to me, because of not only the architectural styles, but also the culture and philosophy behind. I like the way how light and shadow coexist in Faxi temple, with lives and beings, as a representative of “Chán” – an insight into ourselves, the nature of minds, lives, and beings, and their interactions. It is also a place where good and evil coexist, without a boundary.
