Simon of Cyrene
"They forced a certain passer-by named Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, who happened to be coming in from the country, to carry Jesus' cross"
In 1972 God told Madeleine Aumont, a french worker, to build a 738 meters (807 yards) high neon cross in France.
The project eventually failed, but people linked to the movement started spreading thousands of 1:100 replicas all over the world.
I started taking pictures of the Crosses of Love.
It was a way of dealing with my religious upbringing, and coming to terms with losing my faith.
I wasn't able to carry the weight of the cross anymore, and I needed to say goodbye.
